MISSION STATEMENT

Virginia Montessori Academy aims to provide an authentic Montessori experience; inspiring the growth of the whole child by providing a safe, secure, and loving environment. Our Program allows for individualized education that builds a love of learning and promotes independence that prepares the child for success in their adult lives. We consider the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development of the whole child by following the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.

By providing a strong foundation rooted in respect, independence, and hands-on learning, we believe children can grow into confident, capable, and compassionate members of society.

At VAMA, we strive to embody and promote respect—for ourselves, for others, for our environment, and for the community around us. Our educators guide children in developing independence, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, social grace, courtesy, and a deep respect for all people.

PROGRAM GOALS

Virginia Montessori Academy provides educational programs for infants, toddlers, and primary-aged children. Rooted in the Montessori philosophy, our approach empowers children to explore and learn at their own pace within a nurturing, thoughtfully prepared environment. Independence is fostered through the use of age-appropriate materials and child-sized furnishings, allowing children to take ownership of their learning. Our carefully designed classrooms ensure that each child has the tools and support needed to thrive and reach their fullest potential.
