We believe that all children deserve to develop in an environment that is nurturing, safe and intelligent.

We believe in working hand in hand with parents/families. Parents are their children’s first teachers and we are a system of support. A cooperative relationship between home and school can contribute to the success of a child.

We believe the adults in our school community are role models. The adults at VAMA model respect for themselves, others, the environment, and the community around them. We are here to guide the children in independence, critical thinking, problem-solving techniques, social grace and courtesy as well as respect for all.

We believe that every member of our community has a fundamental right to be treated with respect regardless of age, gender, ethnic origin, sexual preference, religion, race, or disability.

We strive to provide a loving, diverse, and peaceful environment in which to learn. We strive to ensure that children are respected and accepted as unique individuals.

Enrollment
Admissions Information

At our school, we believe that a strong partnership between teachers and parents is essential for a child’s success. To ensure that both the child and family are a good fit for our school community, we have developed a thoughtful and thorough admissions process. This includes class visits, where teachers can observe how children interact in the classroom environment, as well as a parent interview to discuss parenting styles, discipline approaches, and alignment with our school’s philosophy.

Our goal is to work with families who share our values, are open to guidance from our staff, and trust our expertise in nurturing their child’s development. We also encourage open communication and believe it’s important that concerns are addressed directly with the administration rather than through gossip or negativity. This approach helps us maintain a positive and supportive environment for all.

We take great pride in fostering a community where everyone—children, parents, and staff—work together to create an enriching educational experience. Our admissions process is designed to ensure that each family understands and embraces our philosophy, creating a harmonious partnership that supports the growth and well-being of each child.

Our Admissions Process

Our admissions process is designed to ensure that both the child and family are a good fit for our school community. Once the admissions application has been completed and submitted, we will schedule a class visit for your child and a parent interview to discuss parenting styles, discipline, and alignment with our school’s philosophy.

After the class visit, parent interview, and review of the application, our team will carefully evaluate the observations and discussions to make an informed decision. You will receive a decision regarding your child’s enrollment within 5 to 7 business days. The administration will reach out to inform you whether your child has been accepted into the program.

We appreciate your patience throughout this process and look forward to the possibility of welcoming your family into our school community.
