NOW ENROLLING

Head of School's Welcome

Montessori Head of School

We believe that all children deserve to develop in an environment that is nurturing, safe and intelligent.

We believe in working hand in hand with parents/families. Parents are their children’s first teachers and we are a system of support. A cooperative relationship between home and school can contribute to the success of a child.

We believe the adults in our school community are role models. The adults at VAMA model respect for themselves, others, the environment, and the community around them. We are here to guide the children in independence, critical thinking, problem-solving techniques, social grace and courtesy as well as respect for all.

We believe that every member of our community has a fundamental right to be treated with respect regardless of age, gender, ethnic origin, sexual preference, religion, race, or disability.

We strive to provide a loving, diverse, and peaceful environment in which to learn. We strive to ensure that children are respected and accepted as unique individuals.

I am thrilled to serve as the Head of School at Virginia Montessori Academy!

It is truly an honor to join this incredible team and vibrant community. With several years of experience in the childcare industry here in Virginia, I am passionate about supporting teachers, guiding students, and contributing to the growth of the school. The Montessori philosophy aligns deeply with my values, and I am excited to be part of a community dedicated to nurturing young minds through hands-on learning. My background in educational studies and years of industry experience empower me to serve the VAMA community with dedication and care.

When I'm not at VAMA, I enjoy spending time outdoors—whether it's hiking with my two dogs and husband or strolling along the Shenandoah River. I also love reading, exploring new restaurants, and connecting with family and friends.
